Sylva Backpack

This feels like someone took the practicality of a backpack and gave it the materials of a really nice leather bag. The leather has a beautiful grain and enough structure that the bag doesn’t lose its shape, while the hardware feels substantial rather than decorative. I also appreciate that the design itself stays simple, because it lets those materials stand out. I’ve carried it to work, meetings, and on a weekend train trip, and it never feels too casual for where I’m going.

I bought Sylva because I travel with my laptop a lot and wanted something that looked nicer than my nylon backpack. After using it for a couple of trips, I’m really happy with the switch. The leather gives it structure, the hardware feels dependable, and it still sits comfortably on my back when I have more inside than usual.

The zippers and metal details were honestly one of the reasons I kept this bag. They feel smooth and sturdy, and they look really good against the leather. It’s understated, but those details make the backpack feel much more premium.

I’ve been carrying this between class, the library, and my internship, and it works for all three. There’s room for the things I actually need during the day, but the profile still looks clean when I’m wearing it. I especially love that the leather doesn’t have that plasticky, overly perfect finish. It looks and feels like real leather should.
